Terms of service

By using Zama Tools you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable rather than intimidating, but they are the actual agreement between us.

1. The service

Zama Tools converts and processes files you provide. Free and paid plans are available, each with its own file size limit, daily allowance and retention period. Current limits are shown on the pricing page and enforced automatically.

2. Your files and your rights to them

You keep all rights to everything you upload. You confirm that you own the files or otherwise have permission to process them, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law that applies to you.

We claim no ownership of your files or your output. We use them only to run the conversion you requested, and then we delete them.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

• process material that is illegal where you are, or where our servers are;
• upload malware, exploits or files intended to attack our infrastructure or other users;
• strip protection from content you are not authorised to modify;
• circumvent plan limits, rate limits or queue priority by automation, multiple accounts or otherwise;
• resell or rebrand the service without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these rules, without notice where the breach is serious.

4. Limits

Uploads on this installation are capped at 100 MB per file, with additional per-plan limits on files per job and jobs per day. Very large or unusual files may fail even within the limit — some formats are simply more expensive to process than others.

5. Retention

Files are temporary by design and are deleted automatically. Always keep your own copy of anything important. We are not a storage or backup service and cannot recover a file once it has expired.

6. Availability

We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, upstream outages and queue backlogs can all delay or interrupt processing. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

7. Accuracy of conversions

Format conversion is inherently lossy in places — complex layouts, uncommon fonts, macros and embedded media do not always survive a round trip. Check your output before relying on it for anything that matters.

8. Payment

Paid plans are billed for the period shown at checkout. You keep your benefits until the end of a period you have already paid for. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Zama Tools is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost files arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continuing to use the service means you accept the update.
